Dean's passion for being on the creative team began when he directed The Jungle Book at the NCTC Performing Arts Theatre. This was his home away from home growing up, where he performed in multiple productions.

Throughout college, Dean returned to this theatre,

enriching students of all ages by

directing, choreographing, and

music directing

their summer productions. ​

He also received his Master's degree from NYU Steindhardt in Theatre Education, and has directed in regional and educational settings

across the United States.

His work ranges from scripted productions

to devised theatre works. ​
